The Eurasia Airshow also offered an interesting static display of numerous commercial, military and business aircraft. From 25th to 29th April there were over 80 aircraft of different nationalities that intrigued and offered an exceptional show to all visitors.
Whether under their brand and under the airline brand on the apron of the Antalya airport set up static displays were seen real aeronautical jewelry. The best of aviation almost to challenge the concomitant ILA Berlin.
Qatar present with the splendid Airbus A350-1000, with the special Qsuite Business Class, and with an elegant Gulfstream G650ER occupied most of the visitors’ interest in the first days of the fair. On the commercial side, while denouncing a significant loss in revenue, Akbar Al Baker Chief Executive of Qatar Airways expressed confidence in the future of his company.
The commercial aviation, which is suffering repercussions due to the recent political and economic events in the world, was still present, as previously mentioned, also with other aircraft under the brand name of several airlines. Turkish, the main sponsor of the event present with an Airbus A330-300 and a Boeing 737-NG, has also announced that its new 30 Boeing 787-9 will be equipped with GE Aviation GEnx-1B engines.
Also present the Nordstar with its 737-8 dedicated to the “Winter Universiade 2019”, the Jordan Aviation with a 737-3, the Aerojet with its Saab 340B and Iranian ATA Airlines with its A320. Alongside these are also some beautiful BBJs including a Legacy 600, the Airbus A319 of Glamor Aviation and among all these stood the Sukhoi with its Superjet 100-95B VIP. The Sukhoi has among other things close contracts with a private Iranian company for the purchase of a large number of Superjet.
But not only private or commercial aviation, as mentioned in the presentation of the Eurasia Airshow 2018 in the previous article, Antonov and Leonardo, interested in doing business at Eurasia, have brought their jewelry to transport. Antonov made available both the AN70 and the AN178 to the public and the Turkish air force, and in the weekend the AN124 also made its appearance, complete with a presentation in flight.
Leonardo with his C27J “Spartan” and some helicopters of private customers presented the agility and technical availability of their vehicles to the Middle Eastern market. The commitment of Leonardo in these days of the ehibition was also to confirm the interest in collaborating with the TAI-Turkish Aerospace Industry to the program of the new fighter of Turkish production, for the local air forces: the TF-X, thus expanding its business in the Turkish market that is already fully satisfied with the Italian company.
But the airport apron, dedicated to the static display, also hosted the many military aircrafts of the Turkish Air Forces, Army and Navy, Police and other airplanes participating in the airshow.
The Police present with several helicopters including the Sikorsky S-70A-17 Yarasa (UH60 Black Hawk), The Turkish Navy with the Sikorsky S-70B-28 Seahawk, the Turkish Army with the spectacular Turkish Aerospace Industries T129 and then a Mil Mi -8MTV-1S Kazakh and Mil Mi-17-1VA of the “Jandarma” the Turkish military police. The Turkish Coast Guard also brought its CASA CN-235M-100, this in addition to their B412, was available to the curiosity of the public and professionals. To praise the availability of the personnel of the various Turkish forces in satisfying the curiosities and technical questions.
Pleasant guests of the static display also two aircraft of the Turkish Stars, the Turkish acrobatic team consisting of 7 Canadair CF-5 Freedom Fighter. Next to them are the Mig29 Fulcrum of the Polish Air Force, the Saab JAS-39C Gripen “Tiger” – 211th Tactical Squadron of the Czech Air Force and the Royal Air Force Airbus KC2 Voyager Tanker (A330-243MRTT).

Finally to mention the presence in the Harbor of Antalya of the TCG Büyükada (F-512) a Turkish Navy Corvette Ada-class, which was possible to visit during the days of the exhibition.

Stunning Photos. I discovered a blimp-type aircraft tethered in Southern Arizona. Only one I’ve seen. I finally decided it was a eye-the-sky device. Thanks for sharing this host of photos.
