Jesolo European Airshow 2018

Weekend of airshow on the beaches of Lido di Jesolo (Italy). The swimmers, tourists or aviation enthusiasts, enjoyed a pleasant warm September weekend together with two of the most famous European Aerobatic Teams and many other aircraft.

The Patrouille Suisse and Frecce Tricolori both at Saturday’s practice and at Sunday show have flown on the beaches and on the sea of Jesolo, impressing the spectators from all over Europe. The Swiss with their 6 Northrop F5 Tiger II have composed beautiful figures in the Venetian sky crowning their display with the launch of flare in their now famous: “Finale Grande”. The “Frecce Tricolori”, as beautiful as ever since their entry into the theater of flight, have held the swimmers and spectators on the full tribunes always with their heads up to admire their display.

Among them there were also the beautiful performances of Italian Air Force helicopters, Vigili del Fuoco and Guardia Di Finanza. Also a Cap10 and the amphibious Savage gave an example of their acrobatic skills and in particular the Savage with its demonstration of water landing, “navigation” and take-off on the sea.

Also the presence of the Gripen of the Hungarian Air Force that with its passages and with the acrobatics at high and low speed has presented its potential to the public.

The Italian Air Force with its HH139 simulated a rescue operation at sea with an “SAR demonstration”, while the Guardia Di Finanza with its NH-500 simulated a situation of interception of a boat at high speed. The Fire Brigade also demonstrated the ability to intervene in its vehicles and personnel.

Finally, to mention the splendid performance of the Blue Voltige with their motor gliders, a romantic interlude of pure aerial acrobatics.

Jesolo European Airshow 2018, even with a smaller presence of aircraft has also this year given a pleasant show to the public present in the beautiful scenery of the lovely Venetian coast.
