Like every year for the annual meeting in Davos will be different swiss Airport involved. During the meeting Zürich Airport, Dübendorf AFB, Sankt Gallen-Altenrhein Airport and Samedan Airport will host all the aircraft of the delegations that will be present in Davos.
For the defense of the airspace over the Davos region, Switzerland will use its McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet which will take off from the Payerne AFB (the Sion Airport, “dormant” Sion AFB, will be used as a reserve). From Emmen AFB could take off the Swiss Drone RUAG ADS95 “Ranger”. With its fighters, Austria will support Switzerland in the protection of the skies above Davos.
